  • Description

The Signia Connexx 2.0 mini receiver wax guard is pre-mounted on a black stick for easy removal from and mounting to the receiver, also called speaker of Signia Styletto Connect, Styletto X, Styletto AX, Active, Active Pro and Silk CIC hearing aids.

Changing the wax guard on the hearing aid depends entirely on personal use and ear wax build-up. Most hearing aid wearers will change the wax guard every 3-4 weeks, yet for others, it could be fortnightly or every other month. When cleaning the hearing aid, monitor the ear wax production – if the wax guard is clogged, it is time for replacing it.

How to use:

These steps will work for many hearing aids. However, if the hearing aid has a dome mounted on to the speaker/receiver or thin tube, it will need removal before replacing the wax guard. To replace the wax guard, follow these simple 5 steps:

  1. A new wax guard will typically come mounted to the end of a tool that looks like a stick, and on the other end of the tool, there is a hook.
  2. Remove the tool from the package and push the hook end of the tool in a straight line into the used wax guard.
  3. Gently pull the tool until the used guard is released.
  4. After the used guard has been removed, you will need to insert the new wax guard. Use the tool to place the new wax guard into the speaker/ receiver or thin tube.
  5. Remove the tool, and the new wax guard should be securely mounted in your speaker/receiver or thin tube ready for use.
