  • Description

Signia Nanocare 3.0 wax guards are replacement wax guards for the Signia Styletto AX/IX and Pure Charge&Go AX/IX receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids with Signia miniReceiver 3.0 and Behind-the-ear (BTE) with Signia Thin Tube 3.0.
Keep your Signia hearing aid working at peak performance by protecting the sound outlet from the ingress of ear wax build-up!

Changing the wax guard on the hearing aid depends entirely on personal use and ear wax build-up. Most hearing aid users will change the wax guard every 3-4 weeks, yet for others, it could be fortnightly or every other month. When cleaning the hearing aid, monitor the ear wax production – if the wax guard is clogged, it is time to replace it.

How to use:

These steps will work for many hearing aids. However, if the hearing aid has a dome mounted on to the speaker/receiver or thin tube, you will need to remove it before changing the wax guard. To remove the wax guard, follow these simple 5 steps:

  1. A new wax guard will typically come mounted to the end of a tool that looks like a stick, and on the other end of the tool, you will have a hook.
  2. Remove the tool from the package and push the hook end of the tool in a straight line into the used wax guard.
  3. Gently pull the tool until the used guard is released.
  4. After the used guard has been removed, you will need to insert the new wax guard. Use the tool to place the new wax guard into the speaker/ receiver or thin tube.
  5. Remove the tool, and the new wax guard should be securely mounted in your speaker/receiver or thin tube ready for use.
