Ultimate Ears has presented Thomas Müller with the '3D Digital Ear Scanner' Certificate.
To bring this new progressive technology and equipment to New Zealand, Thomas underwent training at Ultimate Ears' Headquarters in Irvine,California. He completed this earlier in the year while visiting NAMM as a member of the Ultimate Ears' team.
3D digital ear scanning is the new process of digitally capturing the information of a person's ear canal and outer ear for the purpose of manufacturing custom In-ear Monitors using 3D printing technology.
Where appropriate, the 3D ear scan replaces the taking of traditional ear impressions. This allows for more accurate and faster turn around time for manufacturing custom In-ear Monitors for the live performing musician on stage, and for audiophiles and music lovers alike wanting their personal custom built earphones.
